Lords of the Fallen Update V 1.191 Patch Notes

All platforms:

balance:

  • The damage output of Silencebringer and Crimson Shadow’s two gap-closing attacks has been reduced so that it is less punishing when attacking from one’s own shadow.
  • Lower City’s Scorched Souls’ damage output has been slightly nerfed, from 80 to 64, to make up for their lack of being the most aggressive Walking Dead type.
  • All Walking Dead charged attack damage reduced from 1.18 to 0.8 as their animations do not properly reflect the danger of hitting. Their expectations have been slightly adjusted for better readability.
  • The skein crew now has a better-tuned hitbox as we feel it was just a few frames premature.
  • Echo Barrage (eyeball shadow spell) have been given additional failsafes to ensure they always explode when hitting any environmental element.
  • Adjusted the hit direction of some projectiles, which could cause player hit reactions to occur in unintended directions. Purely cosmetic.
  • The Destroyer has seen his Fire Shield attack and Jump Knockdown attack do slightly less damage. In exchange, his standard damage is slightly increased from 81 to 95. The idea is to have players still fear him, but reduce the number of hits in later game areas.

bosses:

  • A small adjustment was made to the Forsaken Descendant to ensure that regardless of the player’s actions, he will not interrupt his combos.
  • The arena for three secret bosses hidden in secret locations has been tweaked to help them navigate space more efficiently. Additionally, if they enter the column in shadow form, they now know how to exit. They are actually more dangerous opponents now.

Visual effect:

  • After optimization, the Pieta Breastplate lost some of its hue IDs. This issue has been corrected so tints are applied correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where NanoMesh animations on the 3D Gallery background were incorrect, resulting in white point artifacts.

Performance:

  • Massive echo eyeball blasts have lingering visual effects that can remain active for longer than intended, affecting performance if misused.

Photo mode:

  • Photo mode has a small black line in the lower right corner. The line has now disappeared.

Sound:

  • Shadow stigma’s activation and deactivation now have better sounds.

Player versus player:

  • We’ve disabled the ability to parry other players’ kicks to give you an extra option if you find a really good “parryer”.

personal computer:

We’ve been working hard to resolve some issues that unfortunately affected some of our players.

Rest assured, we are passionate about immersing as many people as possible in our game world. Thanks to players who clicked “Send” on the crash report popup for providing data to our Sentinel bug database – at this point, we’ve been able to identify four main issues:

Unupdated Drivers Lords of the Fallen is powered by UE5, a high-end technology that requires the latest GPU drivers. We observed that most crashes are caused by outdated drivers. That’s why from now on, when the game starts, it checks for installed drivers and if the driver is not up to date, it prompts for an update and redirects to the corresponding GPU provider: NVIDIA or AMD

Frame Generation Stability Despite our desire to provide players with the latest technology, Sentry notes that frame generation can also cause crashes under certain conditions. We have decided to temporarily disable frame generation until our partnership with NVIDIA allows us to provide a more stable driver. This action is intended to prevent some players from experiencing crashes when using the new 40 Series GPUs.

Unrecognized GPU Crash An engine bug that could occur with certain 30 and 40 series GPUs that could cause the game to crash even when using automatic graphics settings has been partially resolved. EPIC immediately provided us with a patch that included additional failsafe features to prevent issues. We’ve also observed that a significant number of players have enabled settings that their rigs can’t handle, especially when it comes to VRAM. If you’re experiencing instability, low framerates, or even crashes (especially DX12 crashes), just click “Automatically set” in the graphics settings and this will most likely solve your problem.

Crash after first cutscene An engine code issue related to Pipeline State Object (PSO) calculations was discovered in Sentry. This issue causes a crash when compiling shaders after the first cutscene in the game. EPIC quickly and efficiently provided a solution, which is now integrated into the game and should resolve most cases. However, if the issue persists, we have a workaround that will allow you to access the game. Please note that this workaround may cause some micro-freezing when you first enter a new area of the game. To deactivate PSO calculations, follow these steps: Right-click on game b in the library. Click Properties c. On the General tab, enter the following modifiers in the Boot Options text box: -nopsos

If you’re still having issues, see our performance troubleshooting steps.

PS5: No platform-specific changes.

XBOX: We have resolved an issue with low LOD loading on Xbox Series X.

Steam Deck: Steamdeck now has a virtual keyboard.

Lord of the Fallen gameplay

In Lords of the Fallen, you play from the perspective of your character. Similar to the first game, you can use melee weapons and magic to fight enemies. The gameplay and combat in the game are similar to other games like Souls.

To start, you can create your character and choose from nine different types. The game world is really big, much bigger than the 2014 predecessor. There are two worlds stacked on top of each other. One is called Axiom, where living things are, and the other is Umbral, where the dead are. Even if they are in the same space, you can only reach certain places through the connection between the two worlds.

If you die in Axiom, you go to Umbral, and then have to return to Axiom to get back what you lost. But if you die in the Umbra, you’ll start over from where you last saved, and you’ll lose any unused experience points. There aren’t many places to save your progress in each area, but you can craft your own using special materials found on defeated monsters in Umbral.

Lord of Fallen Conspiracies

The game is set in a world once ruled by a harsh god named Adil, who was defeated by three heroes – a thief, a priest, and a warrior. These heroes, known as judges, were later elevated to demigod status. In this world, even minor mistakes are punished. Players take on the role of Harkyn, a convicted criminal with distinct runes on his face that represent his crimes.

Hajin was released from prison by a monk named Kasro to stop the invasion of the Adil demonic force Rogar near the Hand of God Mountains. He encounters powerful beings known as Lord Rogar, who invade from unknown realms. With the help of an explorer named Yetka, he found the portal to the Rhogar Realm, once the temple of Adyr and now banished by the Judges and sealed.

In the Kingdom of Rogar, Hajin regained the stolen Travel Crystal from the Immortal Artisan Artisan. He successfully prevented the invasion. After returning to the monastery, he was entrusted by Antanas to kill the resurrected Adil. However, Ha Jin senses something is wrong and encounters a mysterious monster. He opened the Chamber of Lies and encountered a special demon related to the Yetka family. Harken must decide whether to kill or let Yetka follow it. Finally, he defeated the last lord and spoke with Adil, who believed that humans needed gods to maintain order. Harkon received a special rune to restore Adil’s power.

Back at the monastery, Hajin is confronted by the monster, evidence of Antanas’ dark experiments on the monks. Antanas’ army labels Hajin a traitor for sparing Adil. Ha Jin confronts Antanas and learns that the transformed Antanas killed Kaslo.Hajin defeats and kills Antanas, then chooses to use the Rune of Adil to resurrect Adil, kill Adil, or give him to the Artisan, resulting in a neutral ending in which Adil is dormant
